Visions of replicants dance in my head...

I had a dream last night; I don't remember much of what went on, but I do know that in my dream it was Christmas, and I was surrounded by the members of my extended family on my mother's side. All of which isn't all that strange, considering that Christmas just happened, and I watched Meet Me in St. Louis again last night. (As a side note, is it just me, or have other people had the experience as they've gotten older that they are much more likely to cry in movies? At a couple times in the movie, which I have seen several times before, I cried, which has never happened before. I always assumed that as one got older, one would become less affected by that sort of stuff.)

Anywho, so the weird thing about the dream was the setting. It didn't take place in any location that I recognized, but in the large apartment that was somewhere between Blade Runner and Minority Report. So, one can gather, solidly Dickian. White walls, minimal furniture, a curiously barren feeling. It had pools of colored light on the floor and the walls from no apparent source, and an enormous window overlooking the sort of futuristic metropolis that you see in movies. I think there might have even been a zeppelin and a flying car or two. It was just bizarre, the juxtaposition of the two scenes. And, in spite of the scene, it all felt homey -- there was a warmth there that couldn't be stifled by the bleakness of the environment.

There was more that unfortunately eludes me, some sort of story going on along with the scene, that even in the context of the dream, I thought was weird.

On a positive note, I got more sleep last night.
