What I woke up to this morning: windy and snowy. I so will not miss Michigan weather.
To put this in perspective for those who think that Michigan is well nigh tundra: last Wednesday it was 80 degrees out. The lab had the air-conditioning on, and I was running around in shorts. When I say Michigan weather, I don't mean the Cold: I mean the extreme variability of the weather, even over the course of the day. You may have to wear a winter coat to work, and you may see your breath, but that doesn't mean by 6:00 that night you won't be sweating like the fool, and wishing you had left the AC on in your house all day. It's the fact that everything that has been blooming over the last week -- the pear trees, the daffodils, the lilac -- is all covered by snow.

Ouch! I was going to whine about the rain here in the land of LA, but then I heard about the snow in the middle part of the country and decided to just suck it up and be happy.
I've lived in places where the weather would do a 360. Snow, rain, cold, heat, wind, calm---all in a single day. Not fun.
Hang tight. Winter is losing its grip! Really!
Today I'm riding around with my windows down, but I also have on a sweater.
