When consulting my big list of where I applied, I realized that the position that I'm interviewing for isn't a librarian position, but a Senior Library Assistant position. That is why they want to see me in person: presumedly they don't need a multi-layered interview process for the position. It is full time, and the salary starts at $28,000, so, unless real estate prices are really inflated in that part of Virginia, I suspect I could live well enough on it. And I also know that a lot of why I haven't been hired elsewhere is because I have no library experience. But I'm a bit ambivalent about it. But I actually match the job description really closely; if offered the position, of course I would take it.
I slept hardly at all, for reasons too convoluted to go into. As a result, I have massive, "Birth-of-Athena" headache action going on.
