My dad has gone absolutely ape$hit over sushi; he's having it virtually every day, and took us all to a sushi restaurant tonight. He apparently had a piece of my store-bought California roll last time I saw him, and it apparently went down really well. He doesn't exactly have a very discerning palette -- he keeps buying California rolls from Wegman's supermarket -- but a couple months ago, he would only eat sushi if it was someone's birthday and they made him go to Sushi House. Now his obsession with it is driving my mother up the wall.
Now all I have to do is get him hooked on Indian food.
I give you this:
The The: Lonely Planet
I just love this song, and have been listening to it a lot lately. If you can't change the world, change yourself; and if you can't change yourself, then change your world. Absolutely lovely, and filled with resignation, pain, hope, although maybe not in that order. Matt Johnson's voice is rich and soulful. So download and listen at your leisure. The entire album the song is from is pretty wonderful, by the way, so feel free to check that out too.

I snagged that tune on your recommendation. I've got a few bloggy things on my iTunes; probably the weirdest one is a Japanese street festival (drums, flutes, people talking) from mediatinker.
Yeah, there have been a few songs that I've found online that I really like. And I like the song I posted; hopefully you will too!
