National Library Week

Apparently it is National Library Week. Who knew? Certainly not I. And while I generally disapprove of these random days of appreciation -- they seem indulgent and hollow to me -- if you choose to hug a librarian, who am I to deny you? Just make sure that you make sure it's OK with the librarian first; otherwise, your gesture of appreciation may not be received in the spirit in which it was meant. Via Gwenda.

I still don't have my car yet.

You are thinking too Twentieth Century, Robin: everyone knows that the least important feature of the modern library is the books! Why, there are libraries now that have no books at all! It's the wave of the future! Deal with it!

BTW, I think Kid Flash could kick your ass. And Wonder Girl was always more butch than you -- I mean, look at your outfit! No offense, just thought you should know: Batman just keeps you around so all the crooks have something brightly colored and dim-witted to shoot at.

At least that's what Bruce Wayne told me at that benefit dinner for wayward youths in Gotham the other night.
