So it turns out that while Michelle was living with her sister (Julie), she took out a credit card in Julie's name and charged $6500 on it. Julie only found out about it when Michelle quit making payments on it a week or so ago. What's worse is that the reason that Michelle was kicked out of Julie's house was because Michelle had forged one of her checks: Julie realizes now that that check had been a payment on the credit card. So Julie is justifiably devestated, which is not helped by the fact that Julie's dipsomaniac mother is upset that Julie would sic the cops on her sister. Evidently the last time Michelle left the area, she was on probation, and the cops have been looking for her ever since. Julie's reaction is that of course she wants Michelle locked up: she has proven herself to be a sociopath, and of course Michelle still has all of Julie's information, and has proven herself to be ready and willing to perform identity theft ON HER SISTER WHO TOOK HER IN WHEN NO ONE ELSE WOULD, WHO PUT UP WITH ALL OF HER SHIT BECAUSE SHE THOUGHT SHE OWED IT TO HER SISTER. So far as I'm concerned, Michelle can rot: she has proven herself to be beneath contempt. I moved out of Julie's house so that Michelle could move in; both Julie and I now regret that decision.
Michelle also goes by the name Nadra Carmack. And even though she says she's 23, she's actually 34 years old. She's an enormous lying sack of crap. And she has my Buffy season 7 DVDs, damn it.
Mike was gone for a week on military exercises in Alpena, MI, so I spent Thursday and Friday over at Julie's, feeling unaccountably guilty. I got her to watch Arrested Development, which she hadn't seen before and which she now loves. I think she just likes seeing a family that is dysfunctional like hers, but which is actually funny, rather than tragic.
This all unfortunately put a bit of a damper on the birthday party, when coupled with the lousy weather. Julie made the party plans at the last minute, largely because she was hoping that no one would show up. The only people who showed up were Susan and Pat (since it was also a birthday celebration for Susan), Nussbaum, Julie's father, and me. Michelle obviously wasn't there. It wasn't a bad party, but it was a little subdued, and it ended fairly early. In general I've found that the more gays there are at her parties, the better the party is. I was the only one there, and to be honest, I'm not much of a social butterfly. As the night wore on and everyone else got more intoxicated, Mike got it in his head to inflict the film Blood Gnome on us; eventually, through the sheer volume of everyone else's protests, he put in Notorious C.H.O. instead. I left about midnight.

Last I heard, she had reconciled with her sister and is now living in South Carolina. And she still, as far as I know, has my set of Buffy Season 7 DVDs.
