The interview with the academic library turned out to be much shorter -- just 22 minutes. I think that, were this a reference position that they were looking for, there'd be a much better chance of my being called back: I actually answered all their questions coherently and everything. It's just that the position that I was interviewing for was a supervisor for the student assistants, and I have never had any supervisory experience. It also requires budgetting for the student assistants, as well, which I admitted to them that I had no experience with, aside from my checkbook.
In spite of this, I think they liked me, and I think I did a good job in the interview. I made them laugh, too. I just don't think that I'm the right person for this job right now, and I suspect they think so too. But still, I'm glad I got the experience.
I do think that the first interview, although I wasn't quite as erudite, was a much better fit. We'll see, hopefully.
In other news, my parents put in an offer for a house in Rochester, NY. It's a fairly large house, with four bedrooms and all that, which surprises me, and it also has a pool. So, that's, y'know, news.
The times, they are a' changin', baby!
No good comics out today. That's the only part of this day that is really sucking.
