Greetings From Pittsford

After a drive that was nothing less than a fiasco, I am now safely ensconced in my new home with the dogs. The two of them were very well behaved, not even kicking up much of a fuss when I drove straight through dinner. The day wasn't very hot, so not having air conditioning wasn't that big a deal. Although I suspect that my left arm might be sunburnt.

When I got here, I found that my cousin, who had already managed to walk me through the directions here -- I was very quickly thrust from the house when a real estate agent showed up to show the house, and I neglected to get the Mapquest map -- had left me a couple of spinach calzones, as well as a job posting from a local college. I used to be very close to him, and he's very enthusiastic about keeping me nearby. It was certainly nice of him.

Julie called while I was on the road: apparently she thought the plans we had made for Sunday or Monday (she never called, and didn't answer when I called) were for tonight. I told her that I apparently will be coming back in mid-September to help my mom with a garage sale before she and my father come here.

The internet connection will be dodgy until August 19, so I may not post much this week.
